1. Nanda Devi (7,816 m)
The second highest peak in India and the highest entirely within the country, Nanda Devi stands as a symbol of spiritual and natural majesty. Surrounded by the Nanda Devi National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this peak is sacred to locals and revered by climbers across the world.
2. Trisul (7,120 m)

3. Kamet (7,756 m)

7. Bandarpunch (6,316 m)

8. Swargarohini (6,252 m)
This mystical peak in the Saraswati Range is said to be the path taken by the Pandavas to ascend to heaven. The Swargarohini group includes several peaks, all rich in mythological significance and natural grandeur.

Om Parvat, a spiritual marvel in the Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand, is a rare and divine sight for pilgrims and trekkers alike. What makes this mountain truly unique is the naturally occurring “ॐ” (Om) symbol formed by the snow deposition on its dark rock face—a sacred syllable revered in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
16. Mana Peak (7,274 m)
Mana Peak, towering most awe-inspiring mountains in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Located near the Indo-Tibetan border, it is the highest peak in the region surrounding Badrinath and serves as a majestic guardian overlooking the last Indian village—Mana.
17. Bhagirathi (6,856 m)
Bhagirathi is a majestic group of three towering peaks located in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, named Bhagirathi I, II, and III. Located in the remote Arwa Valley, close to the Tibet border, this peak is part of the Arwa group, a cluster of dramatic, jagged mountains known for their challenging climbs, raw wilderness, and extreme isolation.
20. The Arwa Valley
The Arwa Valley is known for its remote beauty and formidable climbing terrain. It remains largely unexplored, offering raw alpine landscapes of icefalls, glacial streams, and massive rock towers. The valley itself starts near Mana, the last village before the India–Tibet border, and extends northward into an austere yet breathtaking world of snow and stone.
Arwa Crest Peak sits among this dramatic landscape and is typically approached during attempts on Arwa Spire or Arwa Tower, but it holds its own as a distinct technical climb.
21. Balakun Peak (6,471 m)
Balakun Peak, Situated near the sacred town of Badrinath, it forms a breathtaking backdrop to the famous Satopanth Glacier and is revered for its snow-covered beauty and mountaineering potential.
22. Chaludhara Peak
Chaludhara Peak is one of the lesser-known yet strikingly beautiful mountains in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. Standing tall at an estimated elevation of 6,510 meters (21,358 feet), it is located in the Gangotri region, amidst a cluster of formidable peaks such as Bhagirathi, Shivling, and Thalay Sagar. Despite being overshadowed by its more famous neighbors, Chaludhara offers an incredible blend of raw alpine beauty and mountaineering challenge.
23. Meru Peak
Meru Peak is one of the most iconic, technically challenging, and visually arresting summits in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Towering at 6,660 meters (21,850 feet), it is located in the Gangotri Glacier region, surrounded by giants like Shivling, Bhagirathi, and Thalay Sagar. What makes Meru legendary is not just its height—but its notoriously difficult routes, particularly the Shark’s Fin, regarded as one of the toughest climbs in the world.
24. Nanda Khat Peak
Nanda Khat, standing tall at 6,611 meters (21,689 feet), is a spectacular and gracefully formed peak in the Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Located near the majestic Pindari Glacier, this lesser-known giant is often overshadowed by its more famous neighbor Nanda Devi, but its sharp ridgelines and dramatic icefalls make it one of the most aesthetically striking peaks in the region.
25. Bamba Dhura Peak
Bamba Dhura, rising to an imposing 6,334 meters (20,781 feet), is a majestic yet little-known peak in the eastern Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Nestled near the Kalabaland Glacier and the Darma Valley, it forms part of the stunning high-altitude alpine landscape close to the Indo-Tibetan border. Though not widely recognized, Bamba Dhura is a mountaineer’s delight and a geographer’s wonder, offering raw Himalayan wilderness.
